Meetings are held the last Thursday of every month at the Jamestown Town Hall meeting room. Odd numbered months will be lunch meetings and even numbered months will be breakfast meetings.

October Meeting
The JBA October meeting was held Thursday morning, October 30th, at Pennybyrn at Maryfield. Once again, thanks go out to Edward Cordick for hosting a relaxed breakfast meeting with plenty of coffee and tasty pastries!
The business at hand included a presentation by Nina Licketto of the United Way of greater High Point. Her talk showed just how much United Way impacts all of our daily lives and how our support helps the community.
Martha Wolfe representing the Town of Jamestown reported on the success of the Jamestown Fun Run/Walk held on Saturday, October 4th.
Every year the JBA selects grant recepients to recieve funds raised through events such as Jamestown Day. The 2008 awards are Mary Perry Ragsdale YMCA, Jamestown Public Library, Ragsdale High School PTA, and the Ragsdale High School Extravaganza. A total of $3600 was awarded to these groups and will be presented to them at the JBA Christmas Luncheon on Thursday, December 11th.

The Jamestown Business Association will once again sponsor Santa for Seniors. This project provides gift bags and boxes to Senior Resources of Guilford Mobile Meals Program participants.
Items needed for donation include toiletries, small clothing items, non-perishable microwavable grocery staples, snacks, large print books, paper products, and any other small items seniors might use and enjoy.
Drop off points for these items are The Jamestown News, located on Main Street next to Wachovia, and Triad Screen Printing, located in the Jamestown Shopping Center next to the Heath Food Store.
Deadline for these donations is Tuesday, December 16th. The items will be creatively wrapped and then distributed to the local mobile meal recipients in time for Christmas.
